Worthing Wormhole 2018
This is a short, but sweet account of Worthing Wormhole from last November but there is a very good reason why I still wanted to include this one.
Worthing Wormhole is a film and comic con convention right on my doorstep so it’s always a no-brainer to do these ones, cheap tables, no sky-high hotel costs and it’s good to be able to support local events. Not only that, but it turns out that one of the organisers is actually one of the very first people I met at our first ever gig, Walker Stalker 2016, it’s a small world.
The only downside to an event like this is that you get literally an hour to set up (usually including off loading and parking up for the day). It’s a bit stressful, especially as my boys refuse to give up their Saturday to help me out but being organized helps and now that I do most of the setting up at home, I’m able to get set up without pulling too much hair out.
And it’s done!
Worthing Wormhole is a family friendly event and in my honest opinion, one of the best small cons I’ve ever been to. They really do make sure that there’s plenty to do for the kids, it’s not just a big room with a few traders and a bunch of guests noone has really heard of (no, I’m not going to name any names). As well as the usual props and cosplay competition, they also had light-sabre and magic wand masterclasses and trust me when I say, it wasn’t just kids up on the stage joining in.
Who’s going to be the next Jedi Master?
All in all, in was a great event and I have already signed up for this year’s, if you happen to be in the area or live close by then I definitely recommend you check it out,
Now, for the important reason I wanted to do this mini post:
You know I can’t resist a bit of Resident Evil cosplay! How freaking awesome is that?
